Grape Variety: Syrah
Origin of fruit: Grown at Passage Rock, and Zeno Vineyards Waiheke Island
Winemaking: Hand harvested grapes are fermented at warm temperatures to achieve full bodied flavours and aromas with rich mouthfeel and texture. The wine is matured for 9-10 months in 40 % new oak barriques
Typical flavours: Ripe blackberry, cherry, plum and spicy pepper
Nature of the wine: Smooth, dark and dense
Food Match: Deliciously drinkable with red meats or on its own
