this Waiheke island red is consistently rewarding. Partly estate grown and fully matured in American and French Barriques the 2007 is full and youthfull in colour with a slight earthy nutty bouquet. Rich and supple, it shows good body,  richness and complexity, but is slightly less concentrated than top vintages, drink now onwards.

84 points Bob Campbell
Rich Fleshy wine with vibrant berry flavours and tangy acidity. It seems a little too angular at this stage and will no doubt reward ageing for another year or two, solid gutsy red
