The merits & qualities of blending are reflected in this ever more idyllic marriage of the
traditional grape varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
& Syrah. Our most recent release Sisters is made for consumption upon release or cellar up to 5 years.

SISTERS 2009

 

Grape Variety: Merlot (55%), , Cabernet Sauvignon(15%), Cabernet Franc(15%), Syrah (15%)

Origin of fruit: Grown at Passage Rock

Winemaking: 12 month oak maturation, seasoned America oak, standard barrique, fined with egg whites, coarse and sterile filtered

Typical flavours: Violets, berry fruits, cassis, liquorice, vanilla, oak

Nature of the wine: Merlot dominated, earlier approachable Bordeaux blend spiced with a little Syrah, smooth and ready to drink

Food Match: Best with Antipasto platter, cheese board

Alcohol content: 14%

Cellaring potential:  min. 4 years
