Grape Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Origin of fruit: Grown at Passage Rock Vineyard, Waiheke Island
Winemaking: After frequent leafplucking to expose our fruit the most to the ripening sunshine in a flavoursome 2009 vintage, we handpicked the bunches and gently squeezed to get this exceptional, limited edition wine. Note this vintage we have a small precipitation of Wine Chrystals, these are natural grape acid dropping out due to cold temperature and are harmless and a sign of our minimal interference winemaking style.
Typical flavours: Aromas of passionfruit, gooseberry and pineapple.
Nature of the wine: Lush fruitiness supported with a ripe, round finish and just the perfect amount of zing.
Food Match: Goats cheese, tapas and salads
Alcohol content: 14%
Cellaring Potential: Within 2 years of vintage
