Late Harvest Viognier

Late Harvest Viognier 2011

Grape Variety: Viognier

Origin of fruit: Passage Rock vineyard

Winemaking: Grown on the Passage Rock vineyard allowing for an extra concentration of sugar and a slight botrytis influence by letting the bunches hang on the vines for longer than normal. This resulted in a succulent and amazingly flavorful wine with great finesse, dried fruity characters and full of aromas on the nose. Fermented in steel tanks to preserve the distinct perfumy, floral fragrances and fruity aroma.

Typical flavours: Dried figs, apricot aromas with a hint of peach. An intense fruit bomb on the palate. It is a lovely sweet wine balanced finely with the right amount of acidity to keep it fresh and appetizing.

Food Match: Great with Asian food, cheese platter desserts or as an aperitif.

Alcohol content: 13,5%

Cellaring Potential: 8 years
