Grape Variety: Chardonnay
Origin of fruit: Fruit from Hawkes Bay, fined, finished and bottled at Passage Rock Winery
Winemaking: French oak barrel fermentation and left on light lees for 6 months, with monthly lees stirring whilst in barrel. Malolactic fermentation was also carried out for a creamy soft texture.
Typical flavours: Peaches and cream, straw and cashew with a hint of citrus
Nature of the wine: This wine is fresh and interesting, the zesty fruitiness is beautifully integrated with the oak and yeasty characters, an enjoyable complex wine.
Food Match: Great with cheese, chicken, and pulses
Alcohol content: 14%
